Hi, I’m Ida Santos.
Since I was old enough to sit up, I’ve been at the piano plunking out chords and sounding out my favorite songs. Despite the buzzes and sticking keys, I always loved my family’s upright piano, a 105-year-old instrument that hadn’t been tuned in decades. Even after a few questionable but creative attempts to fix it as a kid, I always wanted to look inside, learn how the parts move, and dreamt of one day being able to return it to its former glory.
I am now a working musician with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Southern Maine and have been certified as a piano tuner and technician. During my training I was able to work on my family’s old upright piano for practice, and help it become playable again. I love working on all types of pianos to help them play and sound their best. My greatest joy is bringing new life to old neglected instruments.
Whether your instrument is an old family favorite or just needs a quick tune up for an upcoming performance, I would love to work with you!
